The term "Akari" is Japanese for "light," and our replicated Akari lamps draw inspiration from the designs of the Japanese designer Isamu Noguchi. The paper lampshades emulate the aesthetics of traditional lanterns, carefully shaped one by one using wooden molds. To date, the Akari series comprises over 200 distinct forms. While the lamp remains compact when folded, it unfolds to reveal a range of beautiful shapes, captivating from every angle.
